Ideal location - number of things in walking distance

Some of the furniture in the room clearly needs to be replaced (arm chairs and desk); couldnt' find the sign to indicate that I didn't want my room cleaned; replaced my towel even though I deliberately hung it up

-The pool -The location very closed to downtown Miami -The room are large and the bathroom is very nice

-The people at the reception trying to make feel like it’s your fault if something is wrong in your reservation -They try to charge you extra for things included already

I was disappointed with value. or lack of. I usually am a 4 star hotel mom but splurged for this weekend getaway for my sons Christmas gift, which included tickets to basketball game. I had been told traveling NBA team stays there, they did not. my experience with valet was terrible, from check in and check out I could not communicate well with staff due to language barrier and when I couldn’t find valet ticket(BTW, parking is 55/night) he just said “, I need ticket” and didn’t offer to help any further. front desk said they could find with my last name but he wouldn’t try. anyway, obviously the problem was eventually resolved. Wi-Fi costs 12.99 per night, I’ve never heard of this before so that was a shock. Coffee machine in room didn’t work and when they provide a replacement it wasn’t the same and wound up only being an espresso machine , so no coffee options till 730am. .. I’m an early riser . for the price of hotel I expected more. clearly, the experience was a disappointment from check in to check out, but my view was likely clouded by the fact that the whole reason I chose that hotel was for the opportunity to see some basketball players off the court and that is no fault of the hotel.

The Hotel is Great! Staff is awesome .... Specially Edgar from the restaurant where we had breakfast everyday! The room is very clean and with a very good size.

Brakfast ......I travel a lot to Miami Downtown...... and the Breakfast from JW Marquis is still too far from good. Very poor selection of breads..... they use to have someone doing the omelet in the past ...not anymore. The room where the buffet is located is too tiny,,,,,,for the price, they should have a better selection of the products quality , and variety. Intercontinental Hotel breakfast is way better .

The rooms are spacious, I like the special touches, the tea sets in the rooms, Netflix and internet access for entertainment. The room service food was delicious, it was obvious the food was made with great care and attention. There is snacks, food and drinks for guests with concierge lounge access in the evenings.

The wifi was not steady, it comes off and on, this also includes the network service for my mobile phone. The walls are pretty much very thing, we could hear everything happening next door. So if you are the type that sleeps light, this hotel is definitely not for you. The pillows are a no no, they need to upgrade this.

We booked this hotel at the last moment and from the moment we drove into the hotel we were greeted with warm; the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel. We did have an evening meal in the bar which was really nice but extremely expensive

We arrived at 0130 in the morning, and ordered room service, food wad delicious, staff was very kind and helpful, "even at that hour in the morning" I usually get just what I expect, as I always stay there when in the area.

only thing was, while I was there, they had a ball for the chief of police, and the Mayor was there with lots of police, and blockage, and traffic getting in was crazy, and they didn't inform us, so we had to circle a few times to get in after a long day.
